Some players chase attention. Others chase standards.
Blake Bell is chasing the 1%, the level where discipline, mindset, and faith separate good from great.
Built in Huntsville

Growing up in Huntsville, Blake was surrounded by elite talent early. Being around some of the best players in the area sharpened his edge and raised his expectations.
Basketball entered his life at five years old, almost by chance, when neighbors were getting rid of a hoop. What started as curiosity quickly turned into commitment.
Why He Competes
Blake’s “why” is simple, but demanding:
“I want to be the 1%.”
That hunger is fueled by his biggest inspiration, his father, who pushed him consistently and never allowed comfort to replace growth.
As Blake matured, his perspective shifted.
“I gained more knowledge,” he says. “I was once a casual.”
Now, he understands that talent alone doesn’t win at higher levels, intentional work does.
Chasing Greatness

When Blake talks about legacy, there’s no hesitation.
“The best to do it.”
That mindset shows up in his daily routine:
Weights
Shots up
Rest
Weights again
Every day is structured. Every detail matters.
Before competition, he locks in with stretching and music, then trusts his preparation.
Recovery Is a Weapon
Blake treats recovery like training:
Sleep
Ice baths
Massage gun
Epsom salt
Leg compression machine
One hidden edge he credits heavily.
Sleep.
Growth Through Failure
Failure has been Blake’s toughest obstacle, but also his greatest teacher.
“Basketball doesn’t care how you feel,” he says. “You focus on the next play.”
When he first moved to Madison Academy, he faced doubt. Instead of reacting emotionally, he responded with work.
“I just put my head down and worked.”
Faith, Mindset, and Pressure

For Blake, faith and mindset are non-negotiable.
“They’re everything,” he says. “Skill matters, but faith and mindset decide how you perform under pressure.”
Under pressure, his reminder is simple:
“It’s just a game.”
That calm shows up in how others see him.
Leadership & Identity
Teammates would describe Blake in one word:
“A dawg.”
But his definition of leadership goes deeper.
“Making anyone around you better.”
Off the court, Blake is known as the loudest one, bringing energy, confidence, and connection. He also gives back through volunteer work, understanding that impact matters beyond stats.
Vision Forward

Short-term goal:
Win a championship
Long-term goal:
Make it pro
If basketball weren’t the path, Blake would still compete, most likely in football.
Beyond sports, his hope is simple but powerful:
“I hope people see me as someone they can always talk to.”
Rapid Fire
Favorite hype song: Suavemente
Favorite athlete/role model: John Cena
Pre-game ritual: Prayer
Favorite quote: “Someone’s gotta be the best, why not you?”
One word that describes him: Calm
Blake Bell plays with edge, prepares with discipline, and competes with perspective. He understands that time doesn’t stop for anyone, and neither does the work.
That’s his why.
